My Story
Three years ago, my world was turned upside down. I lost my husband—the person I had built a life with—and suddenly, I found myself navigating a reality I never expected. Grief felt like an impossible weight, and I was left wondering, Who am I now?
In search of healing, I did something that scared me: I packed my bags and traveled to Brussels. At the time, I wasn’t looking for adventure—I was simply looking for a way to feel alive again. But what I found was something much bigger.
Travel became my path to rediscovery.
Each new place gave me space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with myself. I wandered through historic streets, sat in quiet cafés journaling my thoughts, and met incredible people who reminded me that life was still waiting for me. With every trip, I rebuilt my confidence, found my independence, and realized that I wasn’t just surviving—I was growing.
That journey led me here—to The Wandering Widow.
Why I Do This
I know what it’s like to feel lost, to wonder if you’ll ever feel whole again, and to question what comes next. But I also know the power of travel to heal, to transform, and to awaken something deep within you.
